How to Solve/Rotate 3x3 Rubik's Picture Cube Centres
When you solve a Rubik's picture cube, you need to rotate the centre pieces once the rest of the Rubik's cube has been solved. You can use the two algorithms described below in order to rotate the centres.
Start with Algorithm 1, work your way around the Rubik's cube and rotate one centre at a time.
Once you have correctly rotated 5 of the Rubik's cube centres, either the 6th centre will be correctly rotated too or you will have to rotate it by 180 degrees.
If the final Rubik's cube centre needs to be rotated by 180 degrees then use Algorithm 2 to rotate it and complete the solve.

Understanding the Diagrams
Each picture shows the front face of the Rubik's cube and the arrows indicate which slice of the Rubik's cube to turn by
90 degrees (as well as the direction). Follow the sequence of moves in the same way that you read words:
from left to right, top to bottom.
Algorithm 1
This move rotates the Rubik's cube centre pieces in both the top and front faces.
Rotate the top face so that the centre is in the desired orientation.
Do this:
Rotate the top face so that the corners and edges are solved.
Do this:
The centre in the top face is now solved.
Algorithm 2
This move rotates the Rubik's cube centre piece in the top face by 180 degrees.
What's Next?
If you are reading this page then you can already solve a Rubik's cube and you have just found out how to solve Rubik's picture cubes. If you are looking for a new challenge then why not have a go at solving the Rubik's cube blindfolded? It is not as hard as you might think and, given your existing knowledge, you are more than capable.
